According to Guardian news - ORGANISERS of the MTN African Patrons Polo tournament has fixed the 2014 edition of the competition to run from October 16 to 19 and October 23 to 26 at the Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club, Kaduna. According to Polo Captain, Babangida Hassan Usman Katsina, the MTN Cup will be introduced as a new handicap brand which will now raise to three the number of trophies to be contested for at the tournament.
According to Hassan, the MTN Cup will be played between October 16 and 19, while General Hassan Cup and the Patrons Cup will be decided between October 23 and 26.
He commended the enthusiasm of patrons, sponsors and players in maintaining the momentum and tradition of the tournament since its debut in 2008 and promised that Fifth Chukker would yet again deliver the best polo at Nigeria’s premier polo centre.
