Etisalat Awarded Best Leadership in Partnership for Development

Nigeria's fastest growing and most innovative telecommunications service provider, Etisalat Nigeria, has been honored for its leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility as the Best Company in Partnership for Development, at the prestigious annual Social Enterprise Reports and Awards (SERAs) held last weekend.

The event which held at the MUSON center, Lagos is an annual event dedicated to honor the most outstanding efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by deserving organisations that are committed to giving back to the society.

Director, Brands & Communication at Etisalat, Enitan Denloye noted that Etisalat's commitment to providing innovative solutions for its customers underpins its CSR activities, which are critically assessed to ensure sustainability.
"We are pleased to be recognized for the quality of our partnerships, but it is even more gratifying to know that the partnerships have had the impact we expected in communities and in the lives of individuals" Denloye said.

Etisalat has made several strides in CSR, some of which include the establishment of West Africa's first Masters programme in Telecoms Engineering at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, the Adopt-A-School initiative, Career Counselling initiative, the annual Etisalat Merit Awards which provides grants for university students in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Business Administration, to which more than 1,000 Nigerian youths in various universities have benefitted from, amongst others.

These awards complement other titles which Etisalat Nigeria has won within its six years of operations in Nigeria.

These include ‘Brand of the Year'; ‘Best Telecom Customer Service', Telecom Innovations Company of the Year'; ‘Most Innovative Corporate Social Responsibility Company'; ‘Catalyst for change' and 'Best Quality of Service' among others.
