GLO grab 4 AFRICT Awards + Adenuga emerging African ICT Man of the Decade

The leading telecommunications network company with millions of subscribers in Nigeria and and his chairman Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr(FCON) grabs five awards at the 2014 African Information and Communication Technology Awards (AFRICTA) which was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites over the weekend.


Dr. Adenuga was announced the African ICT Man of the Decade for his pan African ICT investment vision, humaneness and unrivalled patriotism. Alongside with Globacom claiming for awards including
  • The Broadband Backbone Provider of the year for its Glo 1 infrastructure, Subscriber – Friendly
  • Telecoms Operator of the Year for its commitment to subscriber rewards and sponsorships
  • Fastest Growing Mobile Operator of the Decade and
  • Best Wholesale Broadband Company of the year.

The leading telecoms firm was singled out for further praise for its promotion of the entertainment industry, sports and sponsorship of cultural festivals across the Nigerian ethnic terrain, hence Globacom was rated the most Subscriber friendly Operator.

“ It is beyond any doubt that Globacom may have spent more than any other network in the African continent to support the customer on its network and it is fast becoming a subject of study on how a business can remain n profitable while caring so much for customers,” AFRICTA added .
